Shifting sands of idealism.

How have your political views changed over time?

In my youth and naivety, I believed that all Americans had a voice, and all we had to do was unite under the democratic art of voting. To bring balance and fairness to all parties involved.

Now, pushing 46 years old, I’ve seen the world through a generation of changes. I moved with them and voted based on my gut and the best person for the job. So much so that no single party will send me pamphlets or canvas me with calls.

I’ve been a Democrat, a republican, a libertarian, green party, and a nonpartisan.

What I’ve come to understand is that the current political system is set up to benefit those who can lobby the hardest, fastest, and with the most cash, vacation, or spa scwag.

It is more about self fueled interest and the favors owed and debts to be paid. While there are a few outstanding patriots who have never taken a dime. 10 total can claim to be free of a tyrannical twist of cash.

The policy and politics in American are fueled by pharmaceutical, beef, grain, and fuel corporations who view our nation as a personal coffer for their ‘concorporations.” Only in America does a corporation have a social security number like a child born on these lands.

Until our fellow folks see the truth past their media fed agendas, open their eyes and look up. We will spiral into a destitute nation of despots and criminals. People were once willing to do the right thing, but hands were forced through hunger and desperation.

Voting with your dollar only works if you have a dollar.

The absolute truth to freedom is to break free of the system before we’re swallowed by it.
